Front of our dive center, there is a nice coral reef with many hard corals alive and some pink fans. The reef is not deep, 10-15 meters maximum. The coral is on the side of the bay.
Deeper and in the middle of the bay, there is a mud bottom.
During the covid pandemic, we have a lot of free time, so we decided to try to make some fishes protections on the mud bottom.
We used some debris from the 2018 earthquakes.
At 15 meters deep, on August 2020, we installed the first part.
On September, we installed another, and we discovered many cuttlefish eggs inside our first reef. Since, the eggs have hatched.
On January 2021, we installed 2 mores protections and we were surprised and happy to see so many small fishes. You can watch some of them on this video.
